A short collection of commissioned audio work.

skratch bastid: taking care of business | CBC Radio 3 | July 2005 | 005 mins |
A profile of the Bastid, pre-radio edit, and my first jab at handling production & mixing solo.

the hazing: when hip hop meets indie rock | CBC Radio 3 |May 2004 | 005 mins |
Interview with Masia One about her video for "The Hazing" - directed by Matt Burke, featuring Death From Above 1979, and kicking so much ass. I am not responsible for any of the mixing or the final edit, but I am responsible for the plastic anchorwoman voice.

scene report: a tour of toronto hip hop | CBC Radio 3 | January 2005 | 060 mins |
My very first commissioned radio piece, split into five segments, all up on my Zed page. Interviews with some of toronto's finest, straight raw, no rehearsing.

the YA HEARD?! sampler: canadian hip hop parameters | CHMA FM | May 2004 | 057 mins |
Compiled, mixed, and distributed nationally, this indie compilation hit the top of a few college radio charts, and even beat out Hayden and Four Tet on the earshot top 200. Bananas! Some backgrounder and the full mixdown are available on Zed.

From time to time i have also found myself on the other side of the microphone, infiltrating airwaves from a different angle.

wake up with co-op! | December 22 2004 | CFRO Vancouver |
Interviewed by Donna Petersen on the subject of my article, "Multiculturalism: It Hurts Us All." We discussed national identity versus citizenship, race-based inequality, and the major challenges of multiculturalism.

special broadcast | November 23 2004 | CFRU Guelph |
Had a lengthy chat with spoken word director Jennifer Moore on the subject of my article, "Multiculturalism: It Hurts Us All," the underground economy, the concept of citizenship, and the difficulties faced by newcomers and people of colour in Canada.

no apologies necessary | September 22 2004 | CFRO Vancouver |
Host Tameem B put me in the hot seat, asking hard-hitting questions about the seamy underbelly of music journalism, and picking my brain for the best in local, independent music.
